Malik's Magiks

Overview

Aside from a single small shop located in Passhow, Thuvia, the organization now known as Malik’s Magiks is actually little more than a vast shipping empire.

First established with a lone caravan in Thuvia with an uncanny knack for avoiding the Water Lords (particularly between Duwwor and Aspenthar) some time around 4670, the organization grew swiftly in the wake of the revolutions sparked by the publishing of On Government. Exploiting the unrest, Malik was able to use the discord as an opportunity to lay down roots and establish various seemingly unrelated and unnamed caravans in countries spanning more than half the Inner Sea, all of whom garnered a reputation for being able to discreetly move goods across the new nations’ borders. At the same time, Malik continued to build a more domestic enterprise, gathering more caravans in Thuvia and northern Garund, and purchasing a few ships to ply the Inner Sea. It wasn’t until 4712 that Malik’s Magiks opened in Passhow, simultaneously claiming the full extent of the constructed trade empire and establishing itself as a legitimate and prominent business in one fell swoop.

This prominence didn’t last long, unfortunately, as Malik’s interest had already begun to wane. Soon the caravans and ships began largely operating independently, sending only a paltry portion of income back to Thuvia. Recently and suddenly, however, the Merchant of Passhow’s involvement has been reignited. He now appears personally to check on and collect from the various outstretched branches of the organization and has integrated armed Thuvian guards into each, there to protect his interests and investments.
